Gardens and Vineyards
Within the palace walls, we find the 10 hectares of vineyards, planted at an altitude of 500 meters on granitic soils, framed to the west by the majestic Serra da Estrela and flanked by the estate's woodland. Belonging to the demarcated region of Dão (Terras de Azurara sub-region), the palace vineyards feature typical grape varieties of the Dão region: Touriga Nacional, Alfrocheiro, Jaen, and Encruzado..
